What is OkLiS?
OkLiS (Open Knowledge in Library & Information Science) is an online examination platform built for Library and Information Science students preparing for UGC NET/JRF, Assistant Professor and related competitive examinations.
Who can use OkLiS?
Any LIS student or aspirant preparing for UGC NET/JRF, Assistant Professor, Librarian recruitment, or BLIS/MLIS entrance examinations.
Are there free tests?
Yes. The Free Starter Series and the Previous Year Papers series are completely free after registration.
How do paid test series work?
You purchase a series, submit the payment reference, and the admin verifies the payment. Once verified, the series is unlocked for the validity period shown on the series page.
How is the result calculated?
Every response is stored and scored on the server using the marking rules set by the administrator (marks per question and negative marking). Results are released as configured by the admin.
Can I take a test on my mobile?
Yes. OkLiS is designed mobile-first and works on mobile, tablet and desktop.
Do you provide explanations for answers?
Yes. Practice questions carry detailed explanations, and doubt support lets you raise questions that are answered by an expert (with an AI-assist hook for future releases).
How are rankings calculated?
Rankings are computed on your best score per test. Ties are broken by accuracy and then by time taken.
What is the validity of a paid series?
Validity is shown on each series page (typically 180–365 days from the date of verified payment).
